Aloha Andagi

FEASTival Special:  Junko Bise and her crew will be popping up in the covered parking lot of Marukai Dillingham serving regular andagi and Okinawan sweet potato andagi. Jushime (Okinawan seasoned rice) will also be offered.

INSTRUCTIONS: 

  • Pop up on Friday (9/20), Saturday (9/21), and (9/22). From 8 am to 3 pm (or sold out).

  • Cash only.

Aloha Table

FEASTival EXCLUSIVE: GM Mariko Higa’s menu concept is Hawaii & Okinawa Fusion Local Food. They are offering Omu Taco Rice, Local catch ahi poke with umibudo (Okinawan sea grape) topping, and Aloha tofu poke with Umibudo. 

For drinks: Shikuwawa Beer (Okinawa Lime with Aloha Beer Blonde Ale), Hai-Tai (Aloha Awamori, Mahina Dark Rum, Guava Juice, Pineapple Juice, Shikuwasa Juice, Mai Tai Syrup), and Orion Beer.

Aloha Tofu Factory

FEASTival Special:  Jimami Tofu (Okinawan peanut tofu) with a sauce that is both sweet and savory. Limit 5 per customer. Note: Aloha Tofu will be making 50 Jimami Tofu per day, so please pre-order and set your pick up date/time.

Paul Uyehara is also offering the following discounts during FEASTival: Small scoop YUSHIDOFU (about ¼ gal size): $4.75 (Regular price: $5.15) and Ohana Soy Sauce: $8.00 (Regular price: $9.00)!

Beer Lab HI

FEASTival EXCLUSIVE: Beer Lab HI will be making a special release, limited run of It’s Uchina Time (a Shikuwasa hazy IPA) with a collab bingata beer label by in4mation and HUOA. It’s Uchina Time will be available on tap at all locations from Aug. 30th til sold out.

  • Rafute - Beer Lab Kitchen's version of Okinawan style Pork Belly slow braised with Beer Lab beer, panko crusted and deep fried crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.

Bing Mi Hawaii

FEASTival EXCLUSIVE: Mark Kuga will be creating Rafute (Okinawan shoyu pork) Jianbing. Jianbing is "one of the most popular street food originated from villages of Northern China. It's almost like a savory crepe but crunchy!" According to Thomas Obungen, it is “the better crunch wrap supreme.”

Chibi Confectionery

FEASTival Specials:  Garrett Shiroma is offering three specials:

Okinawan Sweet Potato Crunch - Soft and silky Okinawan sweet potato custard on top of a buttery macadamia nut crust.

Shikuwasa Cheesecake - 4.5” Shikuwasa (Okinawan lemon-lime) cheesecake with an almond sage shortbread crust.

Miso Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies - White miso mixed into the batter turns this treat into a pillowy soft, sweet, umami bomb.

Chillest Shave Ice

FEASTival EXCLUSIVE: Shave Ice Guru Aaron Wong is making a Shikuwasa Shave Ice, as well as a Caramel Kokuto (Okinawan black sugar) drizzle.

Ige’s Halawa

FEASTival SPECIAL: Okinawan FEASTival Sale on Saturday, 9/14 from 10 am to 4 pm at Ige’s Halawa. Okinawan Mixed Plate (Shoyu Pork, Sweet & Sour Pigs Feet, Chicken Tofu Champuru), Andagi by the Dozen, Maki Sushi, Pork Nishime, Namasu, Potato Mac Salad, and other items will be available for pre-sale. There will also be a full bake sale (first come, first served) featuring Aunty Kay’s Assorted Manju and a host of other yummy goodies. 

There will be 3 PRE-ORDER pick up days specifically for Aunty Kay’s Okinawan Sweet Potato Manju only during FEASTival on Wednesday 9/4, Saturday 9/7, and Wednesday 9/11. Pre-orders for both manju and FEASTival sale items will start on Wednesday 8/21 and will close when sold out.

FEASTival EXCLUSIVE: Dayton Asato is bringing back the Rafute Waffle that debuted at the 1st Okinawan FEASTival! He is partnering with Da Ohana Kine Snack Shop this year. Picture the KC Waffle cut in half, with a slice of pork belly rafute replacing da hot dog! 

INSTRUCTIONS: 

  • Only available on the weekends of FEASTival: 9/7 & 9/8 (8 am to 5 pm) and 9/15 & 9/16 (8 am to 3 pm).

FEASTival PARTY: Mango Street Grill will be celebrating Okinawan FEASTival on Sunday evening, September 15th from 5PM till 8PM. Shima-Ya

FEASTival SPECIAL: Chef Ryne Shimabukuro will be serving up Braised Rafute Udon with housemade Pickled Goya, green onions, and chili threads in a house made broth. Two-hour braised pork belly in an Okinawan sweet sauce. Udon is hand made and cooked to order. We ask for patience as Ryne makes everything on site and to order.

Must reserve your orders in advance. Reservations can be made via Shima-ya’s IG direct message starting on Thursday, 09/5.

INSTRUCTIONS: 

  • Special is ONLY available on Saturday, September 7th (Saturday) at Fishcake in Kakaako. 11 am to 2 pm. Limited quantities. Must pre-order. After 2 pm, Chef Ryne will take walk-in orders.

FEASTival SPECIAL: Sunrise Restaurant will be offering take out containers of Pig Feet Soup, Okinawa Soba, Special Miso Soup, Spare Rib Soup, and Nakami Soup. Chokatsu will be making 20 orders of each soup every day.

NOTE: Nakami Soup is not a regular menu item.

Tango Contemporary Cafe

FEASTival EXCLUSIVE: Chef Lawrence Nakamoto is connecting to his Okinawan roots with two FEASTival specials: Rafute Benedict (Slow Braised Pork Belly, Toasted House-Made Focaccia, Poached Eggs, Crispy Okinawan Sweet Potatoes, Beni Shoga & Hollandaise Sauce) and Awamori Sea Breeze (Awamori, Shikuwasa, Agave, Grapefruit, Club Soda). The Awamori Sea Breeze can be made without alcohol.  

INSTRUCTIONS: 

  • Rafute Benedict will be available during breakfast and brunch hours. September 2-16. Monday-Friday, 7 am-10 am (LO 9:45 am) and Saturday & Sunday 8 am-2 pm (LO 1:45 pm).

Tatsuo’s Hawaii

FEASTival SPECIAL: Tatsuo’s will be selling 1 lb containers of Shoyu Pork ($16.50), 24 oz containers of Spare Rib Soup ($18), and Chicken Nishime ($14 for 1 lb and $27 for 2 lb), Yakisoba Plate ($15),  as well as Namasu ($6 for ½ lb), Takuan ($6 for ½ lb), Wakame Namasu ($6 for ½ lb), and Pickled Ogo ($7 for ½ lb). If goya is available, there will be 1 lb containers of Pork Goya Champuru ($16.75)

IMPORTANT: Tatsuo’s is normally closed on Saturdays but they are going to open up on Saturday, September 7th (10 am to 2 pm) so you can pick up your pre-orders..

FEASTival SPECIAL: Albert from Teruya’s Andagi will be having two specials this year! 

Week #1 (9/3-9/7): Andadog (hot dog on a stick, dipped in andagi batter and fried)! $3 each piece. Call (808) 389-1714 to pre-order Andadog. 

Week #2 (9/10-9/14): Special Okinawan Bento (Spam Roll, Okinawan Yakisoba, Shoyu Pork, Bittermelon, Sweet Potato Mochi). Limited quantities, no pre-order.

UPDATE: Okinawan Bento not available 9/13 & 9/14 due to large orders coming in.

Yo Mama’s Mochi & Snacks

FEASTival Special: Arlene Tokuda will be offering Okinawan Sweet Potato Jam (8 oz jar) for $12 each. Only available during FEASTival but may be extended based on demand. This is a sweet spread with a vibrant purple color for toast, ice cream topping or other desserts made from Okinawan sweet potato. Can also be incorporated into other desserts like cookies, mochi or bread filling or pastries like cinnamon rolls.

ZIGU (Okinawan at Heart)

FEASTival EXCLUSIVE: Chef Tamano has three Okinawan FEASTival Specials that will run from August 30 to September 15!

*Signature Dish* Okinawa Style Pork Belly “Rafute” braised in caramelized kokuto, dashi, Aloha Awamori and shoyu (for 4 hours!). Comes with egg and daikon simmered in rafute sauce and lau lau leaves cooked with coconut cream. 

Okinawa Soba with a katsuo, bonito and rafute sauce broth. Garnished with rafute, egg, and local baby bok choy. Comes with their Housemade Aloha Awamori Koregusu (Awamori infused with Hawaiian and Thai Chili Peppers). 

Kokuto Chin-bin (A type of Okinawan pancake) served with Okinawan sweet potato puree, caramelized pineapple, kokuto syrup and whip cream with a hint of awamori.  

Drinks: Sanpincha (Okinawan Jasmine tea) Chu-Hi, Shikuwasa Sour Chu-Hi, and Aloha Awamori.
